Fertilizer & Herbicide Sales

Behrends Feed & Fertilizer stocks a large quantity of fertilizer, chemicals and spreaders for your farm or ranch needs.  When determining your fertilizer needs it is always a good practice to have your soil tested.  Soils have a tendency to change over the years and it makes good sense to test your soils especially with the high cost of fertilizer these days.  We have soil testing kits and would be glad to assist you in determining a fertilizer program.  We offer a variety of liquid fertilizer and blends to include nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur.  We are always available to custom mix for your specific grass or crop needs.

We also offer a full range of chemicals for your weed and pest control.  Keep in mind that some chemical such as Weed Master, Grazon Next, 2, 4-D & Surmount require a state issued applicator license, these herbicides do a good job on pasture land and control a  wide variety of weeds but require the applicator to be certified.  Products like Chaparral, Clear Pasture & Round Up, on the other hand, don't require an applicator's license and still do a good job of weed control on  pasture and farmland.  Our spreaders have foamer indicators to mark your application path so double spraying is at a minimum.  We would be happy to discuss your specific needs and to recommend a weed control and fertilizer program to boost your grass or crop production!  Please give Mike a call and he can discuss availability and needs.
